50 Years of Botnia Marin
This year marks 50 years since Botnia Marin was founded in 1976. On 21 August, the anniversary was celebrated together with employees, their loved ones and invited guests at Åminne Folkpark in Malax.
Around 420 guests gathered for an evening dedicated to the people, craftsmanship and commitment that have shaped the company over five decades.
From its beginnings in Ostrobothnia, Botnia Marin has grown into an internationally recognised boat manufacturer, with Targa boats today found around the world. At the same time, the company remains firmly rooted in Malax and Nykarleby, where the boats continue to be built with a strong focus on quality, functionality and craftsmanship.
The anniversary evening offered a moment to look back on the journey so far and, above all, to celebrate the people who have made it possible. CEO Robert Carpelan welcomed the guests, and the evening continued with dinner, celebration and time spent together.
To share part of the anniversary with the local community, residents of Malax were also invited to join us at Åminne harbour for a spectacular fireworks display.
Reaching 50 years is an important milestone, but also the beginning of the next chapter. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who celebrated with us, and to all those who have been part of Botnia Marin’s first 50 years.
